I’ve reached the point where social media algorithms feel like they were written in ancient Greek (or maybe I’m just showing my age 😅). Trading our greens for golds! 🥹 Spent the weekend completely nestled in the stunning autumn scenery around Lake Cascade. Those bright yellow Tamarack trees are truly the star of the show right now! We’re thrilled to share that our latest addition to the cabin is officially ready: a new hot tub overlooking the lake amongst the towering pine trees. After a long day exploring Lake Cascade, hiking local trails, or skiing at Tamarack Resort, it’s the perfect way to unwind and enjoy Idaho’s mountain air. If you’ve ever visited the mountains, you know there’s something about the crisp air and quiet stillness that slows life down a notch. Around here, that easy pace has a mascot — our old hound, Bailey. Bailey is fifteen now, a wise old soul with soft eyes and a nose that still loves to explore. When we’re at the cabin, she wanders the property at her own rhythm — sniffing every pine needle, watching the chipmunks scatter, sometimes following the scent of a deer trail just far enough to feel like an adventure.... It’s official! I’m so excited to announce that The Lazy Hound Lodge has a brand new home on the web! 🏡💻. That’s right—I rolled up my sleeves and built the entire site myself, and I can honestly say the process was so much easier (and more fun!) than I ever imagined.
